New Delhi: Apple has announced new partners for its American Manufacturing Programme (AMP), expanding efforts to boost advanced manufacturing and critical component production in the United States.

The company is collaborating with Bosch, Cirrus Logic, TDK and Qnity Electronics to manufacture key components for Apple products sold globally. Apple plans to invest $400 million in these initiatives through 2030. CEO Tim Cook said the partnerships reflect Apple’s commitment to American innovation and supply chain expansion. The move builds on the company’s broader $600 billion, four-year investment pledge in US manufacturing and technology.

Existing AMP partners, including Amkor Technology, Applied Materials, Broadcom, Corning and Texas Instruments, are already advancing domestic production capabilities. As part of the expansion, TDK will manufacture sensors in the US for the first time, including tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors used in iPhone features such as camera stabilisation.

Apple will also collaborate with Bosch and TSMC to produce integrated circuits at TSMC’s Washington facility. These components support features like crash detection and activity tracking.
